The Spanish boss has been given a reported £70million transfer budget by owner Mike Ashley, with any funds generated through transfer sales boosting this number.
There are already a number of players who seem certain to be shown the exit door, with striker Daryl Murphy confirming to the Irish Sun that Benitez will be listening to offers for him.
