Marvin Plattenhardt
Hertha Berlin left-back Plattenhardt has shined during the 2016-17 season, having a hand in seven goals during his 31 league and cup appearances throughout the campaign.
Scoring three goals against the likes of Wolfsburg, Darmstadt and Borussia Dortmund, the left-sided defender has also laid on four assists for his club side before breaking into Germany’s national team.
With Paul Dummett a chink in Newcastle’s armour at the back, a left-back of Plattenhardt’s quality must be brought to Tyneside this summer to replace the Wales international.
