Newcastle should sign Snodgrass

Following their promotion to the Premier League, Newcastle will be looking to put their club back on the map under the stewardship of Rafa Benitez.

The forthcoming campaign will be tricky for the Spaniard, who will have to deal with high expectations despite just recently earning promotion.

It is vital the Magpies add the correct players to their squad during the summer transfer window and one player they should look to target is West Ham playmaker Robert Snodgrass.

The 29-year-old moved to the London Stadium during the January transfer window after a number of impressive performances for Hull, who were later relegated to the second tier of English football.

However, during his time at the club, things have not panned out for Snodgrass, who still has a lot to offer in his career.

A move to St James’ Park would suit him because his ability to deliver crosses from out wide added with his threat from set pieces would allow him to fit in at the north east club.

Therefore, Benitez should not hesitate in signing the Scotland international this summer because he would be as dangerous as Matt Ritchie has been for the club this season.

Not only that, the likes of Dwight Gayle and particularly Aleksander Mitrovic would feed off the versatile attacker, who can play on either wing and through the middle.
