Leeds fans have reacted with delight on Twitter after the odds of Espanyol manager Quique Sanchez Flores taking over at Elland Road shortened to 7/2.
Sky Bet priced the 52-year-old as third favourite for the vacant Elland Road post on Monday night, narrowly behind Alan Pardew, whose price has drifted to 3/1, and favourite Victor Sanchez, who has odds of 7/4.
Former Watford manager Sanchez Flores has been priced down considerably in the last 24 hours after he was 18/1 on Sunday evening to land the post vacated by Garry Monk at the end of last month.
Leeds fans on social media are excited at the Sanchez Flores link given his managerial pedigree and the calibre of the clubs he has coached during his career.

Sanchez Flores had an impressive season at Watford in 2015-16, when he steered the then newly promoted club to a highly creditable mid-table finish and the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
He also has a fine track record in Spain, where he has managed big guns Atletico Madrid and Valencia, and Portugal, where he steered Benfica to a third-placed league finish.
Sanchez Flores is currently in charge at Catalan outfit Espanyol, who he guided to eighth place in the competitive La Liga in the recently completed domestic season.
His fellow Spaniards Victor Sanchez and Aitor Karanka have also been heavily linked with the Leeds role following the appointment of his ex-Middlesbrough colleague Victor Orta as the director of football.
Elland Road owner Andrea Radrizzani has begun interviewing candidates to replace Monk but has said he will take his time to ensure the correct appointment is made.
Monk was unveiled as the new manager of recently relegated Middlesbrough on Monday.
