Revealed: The nine-player summer transfer list Mourinho gave Woodward

Victor Lindelof

This deal is already in the bag. United announced on their official website two weeks ago that Lindelof had become their first summer signing after Mourinho made it clear that he wanted to shore up a defence that was often found wanting in 2016-17. The Sweden international, 22, arrives from Benfica for a fee reported to be £30.7million after the club opted against signing him in the January window. The Telegraph report that the centre-back, who was one of the key players in Benfica’s title-winning side, was Mourinho’s number one defensive target this summer.
