Manchester United fans have reacted with great humour but also a hint of trepidation on social media after hearing that Premier League rivals Arsenal are interested in signing forward Anthony Martial this summer.
The Daily Mail recently reported that the Gunners are prepared to spend £40million in order to land the 21-year-old if they fail to sign AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe during the summer transfer window.
Martial endured a tough second season at Old Trafford as new manager Jose Mourinho publicly criticised the Frenchman’s performances on several occasions throughout the previous campaign.
The fans from the red side of Manchester took to social media to express their view on the recent reports and it is fair to stay that there was a mixed reaction to the news.

It appears that the majority of United supporters cannot envisage a deal taking place but there are quite a few who believe it would be a massive error to let the youngster leave Old Trafford this summer.
Martial made a total of 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing eight assists last season.
The French forward will be hoping to enjoy more starts next season as it will boost his chances of being selected for the France national team for next year’s World Cup in Russia.
