Scottish Premier League champions Celtic are second favourites to sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Sky Bet have placed the Hoops at 9/4 to secure the signature of the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window.

This comes after the story in the Times which claimed that United manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to let the Belgian leave Old Trafford this summer for the right offer.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are currently ahead of a host of teams who are also interested in signing Januzaj, with Spanish outfit Malaga placed at 5/1 whilst both Sunderland and Everton are placed at 7/1.

La Liga side Real Sociedad lead the way at 5/4 to sign the Belgian forward this summer.

Januzaj spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Sunderland but he was unable to prevent the Black Cats from being relegated to the Championship.

The Belgian made a total of 28 appearances in all competitions for Sunderland last season and his only goal came in the 1-0 victory against Shrewsbury Town in the second round of the EFL Cup.

The forward has failed to kick on from his breakthrough season at Old Trafford during the 2013-14 campaign, where he made 33 appearances and scored four goals and provided six assists.
