Juventus defender Dani Alves is in talks with Manchester City over a two-year deal on a free transfer this summer, according to a report in The Sun.

The newspaper reports that the right-back is close to agreeing a £100,000-a-week contract with the club, and will also request bonuses, if he helps City win either the Premier League or the Champions League.

The Sun claim that the 34-year-old held talks with his current club on Monday, and expressed his desire to make a departure from the Serie A club over the summer.

The Brazilian full-back joined Juventus last summer from the Nou Camp, and has one more year left on his contract with the club.

The 34-year-old proved to be a valuable asset to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad over the 2016/17 campaign and helped his new club to win the Serie A title.

Throughout his first season with the Italian club the Brazil international made 33 appearances and displayed his versatility after he scored six goals and provided seven assists.

It is said that the 34-year old now wants to reunite with former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, after the right-back won three La Liga titles and two Champions League trophies under the Spaniard’s leadership.

The player has also been linked with Chelsea this summer.

Alves would be City’s third signing of the transfer window, and Guardiola has already spent big after scooping Monaco’s Bernardo Silva for £43 million, and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson for £34 million.
