Mohamed Salah is reportedly set to undergo a Liverpool medical – and fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight.
Egyptian outlet King Fut claim the Merseyside giants have had a £39.4million bid accepted for Salah by Roma and the green light has been given for him to complete a transfer that will smash their transfer record.
It is said that Salah, 25, has booked his flight ticket and will undergo medical tests at the Premier League giants on Tuesday after the finalisation of terms on Saturday.
Liverpool fans are pleased that the club are set to wrap up their second signing of the summer after agreeing a deal for Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
Some expressed scepticism about whether the transfer has been done, while others praised the club for securing a key Jurgen Klopp target early in the summer window.
This is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:
So according to some sources, Salah to Liverpool is done. Are you happy about this if true? Great signing in my opinion

Everyone thought #LFC were crazy paying over 30m for Mane. Now looks a snip. Hopefully, next year Salah’s fee will similarly look low. ????

Liverpool have been in extensive talks with Serie A big hitters Roma for weeks about signing the Egypt international.
It has been reported that Liverpool’s first bid came in at £28.5million for Salah but Roma have held firm in their valuation and the English club will pay another £11million to seal the deal.
It will shatter the Merseyside giants’ transfer record, which remains the £35million deal that brought Andy Carroll from Newcastle United in January 2011, although add-ons could take Sadio Mane beyond that fee after he joined from Southampton 12 months ago for £34million rising to a potential £38million.
Roma have admitted they have been in negotiations to sell Salah to a Premier League club although they did not name the team.
Liverpool have pushed so strongly to sign Salah following an outstanding 2016-17 season in which he scored 19 goals and supplied 15 assists in 41 matches in all competitions for the Serie A outfit, with 15 of his 31 goals coming in league matches alone.
