Outspoken pundit and former striker Stan Collymore has told that he would take current Liverpool forward Danny Ings to West Ham.
The Hammers have already been linked with moves for a number of Premier League forwards this summer with Kelechi Iheanacho and Olivier Giroud being the most frequently named.
The reported interest comes with the east London club having troubles in the forward line last season after usual winger Michail Antonio finished as the club’s top scorer with nine goals in all competitions.
Additionally, GhanaSoccerNet has claimed that last summer’s club record signing Andre Ayew’s future could come into doubt at West Ham if the club secure their reported targets.
This has led to Collymore stating on his personal Twitter account on Friday afternoon that he believes the hope is placed on Ayew for the Hammers next season, but if he does go this summer then they should look to bring in Ings.
I think the hope is that Ayew will be fit, ready and focused for a full season. IF he does go, I'd go for an Ings on loan for a season? https://t.co/PXxNpyGTaK

Danny Ings needs to play, he'll be motivated, and his ratio is good. Don't dismiss that because it doesn't seem sexy! https://t.co/jErXiU3u0s

Ings, 24, made the switch to Liverpool in the summer of 2015 from Burnley for a tribunal fee believed to be worth £8million.
However, his time on Merseyside has been heavily marred by injury so far and he has managed to play just 11 times for the Reds, scoring three times.
The one-time capped England international will be hoping for better luck in the next campaign with two years left on his Liverpool contract, but it is not yet known how much of an impact the injuries will have had on his ability.
