Kyle Bartley
Bartley shone at the back for Leeds on loan from Premier League side Swansea, after first working with Monk in Wales during the manager’s time at the Liberty Stadium. He wore the captain’s armband on occasion and even scored six goals.
With speculation surrounding the future of Ben Gibson, Boro could need centre-backs and now the Teesside outfit could rival Leeds to sign Bartley on a permanent basis.
