Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo will leave the Premier League club when his contract expires at the end of this month.

The club confirmed on their official website on Friday afternoon that the 24-year-old bids farewell to the Gunners alongside academy players Stefan O’Connor, Kristopher da Graca and Kostas Pileas.

Premier League sides and Football League clubs around the country will be announcing the players that will be leaving their respective teams this summer.

Former France under-21 international Sanogo is one of the players on the list and he leaves having spent four years at the Emirates Stadium and after making 20 first-team appearances.

Sanogo was snapped by manager Arsene Wenger in 2013 when his contract expired at Ligue 1 outfit, AJ Auxerre.

However, he struggled to cement a regular place in the senior side and spent various spells out on loan at Dutch giants Ajax and League One side Charlton.

During his time in north London, Sanogo found the back of the net on only one occasion when he scored during an impressive 2-0 win against German side Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

He leaves Arsenal with one major trophy to his name, the 2014 FA Cup win against Hull City, the Frenchman came on as a substitute to help his side secure a memorable 3-2 win after extra time.
