Everton boss Ronald Koeman should do everything within his power to try and reunite himself with Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic in the summer transfer window.

The Evening Standard recently reported that the 28-year-old assist king was attracting interest from fellow Premier League club West Ham United.

At this current moment in time, Everton would be a much more appealing move for the Serbian as they would be able to offer him Europa League football next season.

Last season, Tadic struggled to hit the heights for Southampton as he recorded his poorest season at the club in terms of numbers as he only scored three goals in all competitions.

During his two-year spell at St Mary’s, Koeman was able to get the best out of the midfielder as the Serbian scored 18 goals and provided 28 assists in all competitions in this period.

The Saints finished in eighth position last season – their worst Premier League finish since 2013 and there does not appear to be any sign of progression at the club.

Stability could also be another reason why the Serbian might decide to move in the summer as there are rumours that current manager Claude Puel might be shown the door before the 2017-18 season starts.

The Merseyside club would have to spend big this summer in order to acquire the midfielder’s services as his contract with the Saints runs out in 2020.

Koeman signed Tadic for Southampton for a fee just over £11million in 2013 so he would need to approach his former club a much higher bid.

The Serbia international would be a fine addition to Goodison Park as he would be able to provide some creativity in the midfield, and his experience of playing Premier League football could only benefit young talent such as Ben Davies from working with him on a daily basis in training.

There is a lot of speculation that Ross Barkley could be on his way out of the club and that it is Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurddson who will replace him.

Forget Sigurdsson, Tadic would cost half the reported £30million asking price of the Icelandic and would do an equally good job at providing the goals and assists.
