England went on to win the tournament for the first time since 1994 with a 2-1 victory over hosts France.
The Villa supporters were absolutely delighted for Grealish and many wished him all the best after the player revealed he was “buzzing” to get the national call-up.

Grealish announced himself to the Villa faithful at the end of the 2014-15 campaign under manager Tim Sherwood.
The youngster was instrumental in the FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool at Wembley as he assisted both goals helping Villa progress to the final for the first time since 2000.
Since then, the midfielder has not seen many minutesĀ on the football pitch as recent managers have spent more time disciplining him for his behaviour of the field.
Grealish made a total of 34 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and providing five assists.
