Everton have been installed as joint favourites to sign Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Bet Victor have credited the Toffees with a price of 4/1 to sign the 31-year-old goalkeeper, who impressed in between the sticks for Burnley this season while wearing the captain’s armband.

However, Ronald Koeman’s side are likely to rival Merseyside giants Liverpool for Heaton’s signature, with the Reds also at 4/1 to sign the England international in the coming months.

Manchester United, West Ham and Crystal Palace are slightly out from local rivals Everton and Liverpool at a price of 6/1 to sign Heaton, who is currently with the England squad ahead of their friendly against France on Tuesday.

Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle are at 8/1 to lure Heaton to St. James’ Park, while Manchester City are a long way back at 12/1 to grab Heaton’s signature.

Fox Sports claim Heaton made the most saves in the Premier League last season, stopping 143 on-target shots in England’s top flight as Sean Dyche’s side avoided relegation in 16th place.

Making 36 appearances in all competitions, Burnley’s number one secured 10 clean sheets with the Lancashire side as the Clarets finished six points above the bottom three.

The former Manchester United goalkeeper has three years remaining on his current contract at Turf Moor but could be tempted to join a bigger side in the summer, with Everton and Liverpool leading the charge.

Everton currently have Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg as options between the sticks at Goodison Park, but a new goalkeeper could be brought in ahead of a Europa League campaign.
