Everton fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club not to sign Arsenal youngster Calum Chambers.

The Goodison Park faithful’s messages came after the Daily Mail reported on Saturday that the Merseysiders were weighing up a £15million move for the 22-year-old defender.

The report claimed Arsenal were ready to let Chambers go, and the Toffees were interested in signing him, if their efforts to bring in Burnley’s Michael Keane fall flat.

It was said Newcastle, Bournemouth and Red Bull Leipzig are all also monitoring the England Under-21 international’s situation.

The 22-year-old spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough, where he made 25 Premier League appearances and helped the team keep seven clean sheets.

However, unfortunately for Boro, his efforts were not enough and they were relegated to the Championship.

Everton fans were very much against the idea of their club signing Chambers and they took to Twitter to show it.

Chambers signed for the Gunners in the summer of 2014 in a £17million switch from Southampton, and he has since played 59 league and cup games for the club.

He has been capped on 18 occasions by the England Under-21s, and he is currently on international duty with the side at the European Under-21s Championships in Poland.
