Steve Bruce must offload a number of Aston Villa midfielders this summer as the Midlands outfit reportedly close in on a move to sign Stoke City midfielder Glenn Whelan.
Telegraph journalist John Percy claimed on his personal Twitter account that Villa are expected to complete a move for the Ireland international, despite having a £500,000 move turned down for the 33-year-old.
