Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina is said to prefer a move to the Premier League this summer with Arsenal named as a potential location, according to TuttoSport.

The Italian newspaper claim on their website that the 23-year-old central midfielder has turned down offers from Olympique Lyonnais and his former side Olympique Marseille with his heart set on a move to England’s top flight.

Both Arsenal and Watford were named by the newspaper as the English clubs in pursuit of his signature.

Italian sports journalist Tancredi Palmeri claimed earlier this month that the Gunners had been in touch with the Turin side over a move for Lemina, and it appears their reported interest has turned his head to a move.

TuttoSport report that the Champions League runners up are looking for between £17million and £22million for his signing (€20million – €25million).

The six-time-capped Gabon international appeared primarily as a fringe player for Juventus last season, with 29 appearances in all competitions.

However Lemina only appeared in the starting XI 11 times for the Italian side, and he is said to want to leave the club in order to find more playing time next season.

In total he has made 42 appearances for Juventus across all competitions, scoring just three goals.

Were he to join Arsenal, he would face a fight with Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Mohamed Elneny, Aaron Ramsey and the recently returned Jack Wilshere for a place in the centre of the Gunners’ midfield.
