Arsenal are in discussions with Wolfsburg over the sale of highly-rated youngster Kaylen Hinds, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claim that the Gunners are willing to allow the 19-year-old academy star to quit the club for just £2million this summer to further his progress and fulfil his star potential.

Hinds remains one of the hottest prospects currently within the youth ranks at the Emirates, and he has been tipped to follow Arsenal team-mate Jack Wilshere on his path to the first-team.

He played for the Arsenal Under-19 side at the age of just 15, but his meteoric rise has yet to see him make his bow for the first-team.

Arsene Wenger allowed the striker to join League Two outfit Stevenage on loan during the second-half of the 2016-17 campaign to earn regular opportunities in a first-team environment.

The England youth international made 12 appearances for the club, but Arsenal are now reportedly set to grant Hinds a permanent switch worth just a seven-figure fee to the German Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg head coach Andries Jonker previously served as academy chief at the Emirates, and he is keen to make his former youth prodigy one of his first signings as manager at the Volkswagen Arena.

There is already fierce competition for a starting role in the attacking positions at Arsenal, with Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck, Lucas Perez, and Theo Walcott among the senior stars currently at their disposal.
