Everton’s director of football Steve Walsh was pictured in Italy on Wednesday meeting with Serie A giants AC Milan.

Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio took to his official Twitter account on Wednesday to share the picture of Walsh.

The Italian Sky Sports journalist clearly pointed out the Everton chief among the various AC Milan representatives by stating he was in the white shirt with a jacket in his hand.

The Toffees have been previously linked with AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang who was on-loan at Watford from January to June 2017.

However, it appeared that Everton would be missing out on the French forward as Di Marzio claimed last month that the French striker didn’t want to play in the Premier League.

The striker could be seen as a replacement for Everton’s top scorer Romelu Lukaku, who has been heavily linked with a departure from the Merseyside club this summer, however Niang doesn’t quite match up to the Belgian as he only managed to score twice in his 16 PL appearances with Watford.

The meeting shows that the Toffees could be adding to their summer signings over the next few days, as Ronald Koeman remains keen to strengthen his side ready for their 2017/18 campaign.

Goodison Park bosses have been busy this week, after agreeing a deal for Sunderland keeper Jordan Pickford who, at £30 million, is set to become England’s most expensive keeper.
