The 30-year-old goalkeeper has the potential to become the number one choice at any Championship club this summer.

Norwich City might yet rue the decision to release him at the end of his contract because he has demonstrated that he has the ability to play in the English top flight and produce the goods.

The goalkeeper has already played on the international scene as he made his debut in a friendly match for the England national team against Italy in 2012.

Ruddy has spent the majority of his career in the Championship but he also knows what it takes to get promoted so his arrival to Villa Park could potentially give everybody at the football club a massive lift.
