Sverrir Ingason – centre-back
Leeds currently have just one signed up senior centre-back in Liam Cooper although that is about to change within the next dew days (see the next page). It emerged last weekend that Iceland international Ingason is a firm target. The Sun report that Christiansen is an ardent admirer of the defender, 23, and is willing to meet the £2million release clause in his contract with relegated Spanish club Granada, although there is competition from Premier League new boys Huddersfield. The Iceland international would be regarded by many Leeds fans as an upgrade on the error-prone Cooper.
