Leeds fans know all about the calibre and commitment of the Swansea defender, who was outstanding while on a season-long loan last season. The problem is, so does new Middlesbrough boss Garry Monk, formerly of the Elland Road parish. The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Leeds and Middlesbrough are battling it out to sign Bartley but must first wait to find out whether Swansea intend to sell him. If they do, it promises to be a battle royale for the 26-year-old’s signature.
