Jason Cummings has stated on Twitter that he “can’t wait to get started” after making a permanent switch to Nottingham Forest.

The Championship side confirmed on their official website on Friday that the 21-year-old has agreed to join Forest from Scottish side Hibernian.

Cummings, who operates as a forward, has penned a three-year deal at the City Ground and he will now work under the stewardship of Mark Warburton.

At his previous club, Cummings was playing under the management of former Celtic man Neil Lennon, who guided the club to the Scottish Premiership during the recently concluded campaign.

Forward Cummings played a big part in their promotion, scoring 19 goals for the club, who have now lost one of their key players.

Nonetheless, after Cummings signed a deal with Forest he took to his personal Twitter account to send this message to his new supporters.

“Delighted to sign for Nottingham Forest,” said Cummings. “[I] can’t wait to get started.”

Cummings will be looking to get off to the best of starts next season with Forest looking to better their performance from last season.

Former Rangers boss Warburton was drafted in towards the back end of last season to help the club survive relegation and he did that on the last day against Ipswich.

Now, supporters will be hoping their side can mount a promotion challenge and make a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
