Newcastle will battle with Watford to sign Hull winger Kamil Grosicki, according to Sportowefakty.

The Polish news outlet claims that newly-appoitning Hornets boss Marco Silva is keen on re-uniting with the 28-year-old after impressing at the KCOM Stadium since his January move from Stade Rennais.

It is understood that Silva has made Grosicki, who is known for his rapid pace, his number one transfer target for the upcoming summer window as he looks to give him a second shot at Premier League football following Hull’s relegation.

Sportowefakty claims that a release clause in his contract has now became active since the Tigers’ drop to the second-tier.

Newcastle are expected to make big changes to their squad as they return to the top-flight following a title-winning Championship campaign.

However their Premier League rivals Watford seem intent on making them work hard to acquire their potential targets.

Grosicki made just 15 appearances for Hull in the second half of the season and failed to score.

However he did manage to provide five assists and was named as the fans’ player of the month for April for his impressive efforts as the Tigers tried to avoid relegation.

The 49-times Poland international, who impressed as his nation reached the quarter finals at Euro 2016, began his career with Pogon Szczecin and has also had spells at Legia Warsaw, Sion and Sivasspor.

Grosicki moved to Humberside in January on a three-and-a-half year contract.
