Rangers will have to submit a player-plus-cash deal to sign Motherwell attacker Louis Moult, according to a report.

The Scottish Sun claim that the two top-flight clubs are set to begin talks about a potential transfer for Motherwell forward Moult.

It is understood that the Gers are keen on signing the 18-goal sensation and it’s believed that his current club are prepared to sell.

However, the report details that Motherwell will only agree to a deal if a fee of £500,000 is offered, plus they want to take Rangers first teamer Michael O’Halloran on a season-long loan next year.

Pedro Caixinha is believed to be looking to offload the 26-year-old in the summer and he will need to be included in a deal if he wants to sign his striker target.

Moult has been in great form this season for Motherwell and played a major role in keeping them in the division.

The forward has made just 34 appearances across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and supplying seven assists in return.

He has been one of the outstanding attacking talents in the top flight this season and Rangers believe he could bolster their frontline next year.

Meanwhile, Gers manager Caixinha is set for a big summer clearcut and right winger O’Halloran looks set to be axed.

The Scotsman has endured a frustrating season and has failed to score in 24 appearances for the Ibrox outfit.
