West Ham have been installed as favourites to land Everton attacker Ross Barkley, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Ladbrokes have priced the Hammers at 6/4 to sign the 23-year-old this summer whose contract is set to expire in 2018.

However, Slaven Bilic’s team are not the only Premier League team in the running for his signature and London rivals Tottenham trail closely behind at odds of 11/5, while both Manchester United and Chelsea sit someway off at 9/1 and 10/1 respectively.

The price changes come after the Daily Star claimed on Sunday morning that West Ham were set to battle Tottenham for the signature of the playmaker.

Barkley is expected to leave Goodison Park this summer after Ronald Koeman offered him an ultimatum earlier in the month in regards to signing his deal before a set time, which has not since happened.

The youngster has been a part of the Everton set-up for 12 years and was once considered one of England’s brightest prospects after making his debut for the club in 2011 aged 17.

However, he has struggled to fulfil that early promise at this stage of his career and he found himself in and out of the Toffees’ starting line-up under Koeman across the season after returning five goals and nine assists in 36 Premier League appearances.
