Tottenham have been installed as strong favourites to sign Hull City defender Harry Maguire, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Ladbrokes have priced Mauricio Pochettino’s side at 13/8 to sign the 24-year-old but are not the only Premier League side credited with an interest in the former Sheffield United stopper.
Everton are second favourites with a price of 3/1, while Newcastle are third likely to sign Maguire at odds of 5/1. West Ham, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal have also been given a price ranging from 8/1 to 20/1.
This comes after the Mirror claimed Tottenham and Everton are keen to sign the defender, with £22million said to be enough to complete a deal for Hull’s number five.
Maguire is likely to leave the KCOM Stadium after failing to prevent Hull from suffering relegation from the Premier League this season, despite a rallied attempt by the Tigers towards the second half of the season.
The English defender has helped his side keep four clean sheets in a side that have struggled in the top flight of English football, during his 36 league and cup encounters.
However, the commanding defender has been a rare shining light in the Tigers’ side, after boasting an impressive aerial prowess and driving runs from deep that have pushed his side up the field.
Maguire’s presence in attack has also been on display, having a hand in six goals this season with three of those scored by himself against Middlesbrough, Stoke and Bristol City.
A move seems to be on the cards for the defender, with only 12 months remaining on his current contract in Yorkshire.
