Victor Wanyama and Henrikh Mkhitaryan would be among the casualties of a best XI comprised of the best Tottenham and Manchester United players.

The two sides giants meet on Sunday in the Premier League as Spurs celebrate their final ever game at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will hope to end the season unbeaten at home and say goodbye to their prestigious ground in style.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is likely to rest players in the league encounter ahead of their Europa League final against Ajax.

Here, This Is Futbol chooses the best possible XI between Spurs and United.

United shot stopper David De Gea gets the nod over Hugo Lloris for the goalkeeper jersey in a hard-fought choice, with the pair regarded as two of the best in the division.

Spurs dominate the combined XI backline with all four defender, something which really highlights the qualities of Mauricio Pochettino’s defence.

England internationals Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are the full-back picks, edging out Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw.

Spurs’ centre-back pairing Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen make the cut ahead Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.

Mousa Dembele and the world’s most expensive player Paul Pogba would be the central midfield combination, meaning Wanyama, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick would be omitted.

Spurs’ box-to-box midfielder Dembele can be unplayable on his day and gets the nod ahead of the defensive-minded Wanyama, while the creative Pogba has looked strong since his return to Old Trafford and has the qualities to dictate matches.

The north London club also dominate the attacking positions as Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Harry Kane make the team.

The Spurs trio have scored 58 goals between them this year and have been three of the outsanding players in the division.

That leaves talented youngster Rashford as the sole United representative in the attacking area and he has managed to step up since an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
