Everton attacker Gerard Deulofeu has already played his final match for loan club AC Milan, according to Football Italia.

The Rossoneri have named their final squad for Sunday’s Serie A season finale which will see them take on Cagliari at the Stadio Saint’Elia.

However, Deulofeu has not been included in the team despite playing 85 minutes of AC Milan’s 3-0 victory over Bologna last weekend which saw the Spaniard get on the score sheet with the opening goal.

The pacey forward moved to the San Siro in January until the end of the season from the Toffees in an attempt to gain more first team football and he has since scored four goals while proving three in 18 appearances in all competitions for Milan.

But, Football Italia details that AC Milan have made the decision not to extend or make his loan deal a permanent one and that the 23-year-old has played his last game in the black and red stripes.

Deulofeu struggled to break into the Everton team under summer appointment Ronald Koeman this campaign and started just four league matches for the Merseyside club ahead of his January move.

He is also going into the final year of his contract at the Toffees and both the fans and Deulofeu will be hoping he can make an impact upon his return.
