Leeds are preparing a bid to sign Norwich midfielder Johnny Howson, according to a report.

TEAMtalk claim that co-owner Andrea Radrizzani, who is expected to have full ownership soon, is preparing to have a busy window and is ready to financially back them.

It is understood that the Whites will turn their attention to sign former player Howson, who Norwich are looking to sell in the summer to raise funds.

The report details that the Yorkshire giants may have to pay up to £4million to secure the deal and are willing to do so, but both Brighton and Burnley have also expressed an interest.

Howson is still a favourite with the Leeds fans after graduating through the academy and becoming an important first team player in the past.

The midfielder racked up 219 appearances for the Whites before leaving for Norwich in 2012.

He has just finished a strong season at Carrow Road where he scored six goals and supplied eight assists in 39 appearances for the Canaries.

Leeds are now eyeing a move for the goalscoring midfielder and are set to offer him a chance to move back to Elland Road.

They narrowly missed out on promotion from the Championship as they finished seventh, but it appears that Radrizzani is intent on getting the club back in the Premier League.
