Leeds midfielder Pablo Hernandez has had his contract renewed at Elland Road – and the club’s supporters are delighted about the news on Twitter.
The Whites released their retained list on Wednesday morning via their official website and it explained that Hernandez has had his deal extended for another season.
The 32-year-old attacking midfielder has seen his contract automatically renewed for another year due to an appearances clause.
He was set to leave the Yorkshire giants next month after agreeing a six-month deal in January, but made enough appearances to prolong his stay for another season.
Hernandez made 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and supplying eights assists.
The Spaniard was one of the club’s greatest attacking threats and played a major role in their seventh-placed finish in the Championship.
Leeds fans have expressed their delight on social media that the creative midfielder will be at Elland Road once again next season.

Hernandez spent the first half of the season on loan from Qatari club Al-Arabi and agreed a short-term deal to stay in England in January with an appearance-related clause included.
Meanwhile, Leeds announced that senior players Jordan Botaka and Ross Turnbull will be leaving in the summer.
They have also decided to release academy players Billy Whitehouse, Alex Purver, Jack Vann and Michael Taylor.
