Sofiane Feghouli has taken to Twitter to admit that he hasn’t been playing as much football for West Ham as he had first hoped.
The 27-year-old arrived at the London Stadium from La Liga giants Valencia last summer and failed to make much of an impression in his debut campaign in English football.
He made 27 appearances in all competitions for Slaven Bilic’s side, scoring four goals and supplying three assists.
However he started just 11 Premier League fixtures and this has clearly frustrated the 42-times Algeria international, who has suffered to find form and steer clear of injuries.
That doesn’t seem to phase him though, as he maintains that he sees himself becoming a key part of Bilic’s plans next season and is keen to show the fans what he is truly capable of.
“I arrived last summer and signed a three year contract with West Ham. I was happy to arrive at a new club, a new city and a new challenge,” he said on his personal Twitter account in French on Monday.

“For a number of reasons, I have not played as much as I had hoped but that does not ever change my objectives for the next season: to be more competitive.
“My coach knows that he can count on my motivation, my professionalism and my determination always. Now off on holidays to return soon and prepare for the next season more determined than when I arrived.”
Feghouli signed from Valencia, with who he made over 200 appearances for, last summer on a three year deal and made his debut in the Europa League qualifying loss to NK Domzale.
He scored his first Hammers goal a week later in the second-leg and also rounded off the season by netting in the 2-1 victory at Burnley which secured his side of an 11th placed finish in the top-flight
