The Daily Mail claim that scouts from Celtic, Tottenham, Aston Villa and West Ham have all watched the Ipswich midfielder, who is set to leave Portman Road this summer after impressing on loan at Aldershot Town.

It is understood that the 19-year-old was sent out on loan this season to National League side Aldershot after a fall-out with Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy.

The report details that there were issues regarding an attitude problem, but scouts have been convinced that his loan spell has helped get him back on track.

Benyu is a box-to-box midfielder that managed five goals in 24 appearances for Aldershot this campaign..

The youngster is yet to make a first team appearance for Ipswich so far, but has been on the fringes of the squad since the age of 16.

His contract is set to expire this summer and his manager fall-out could take him a step closer to Celtic, with a move on from Ipswich the most likely solution.

Spurs are believed to be long-term admirers of Benyu and the Mail claims that they him to be involved in their NextGen Series squad last summer.

However, Brendan Rodgers has shown a willingness to promote youth at Celtic this season and is building a very successful side in Scotland.

The Bhoys are still competing for a domestic treble and young players such as Moussa Dembele, Patrick Roberts and Kieran Tierney have been integral to their side.
