Celtic fans were delighted with Stuart Armstrong’s performance in the Scottish Cup final victory Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Derek McInnes’ side took an early lead through Jonny Hayes in the ninth minute but Armstrong was on hand two minutes later to level the scoreline.
In stoppage time, Tom Rogic scored in dramatic circumstances to hand the Bhoys a 2-1 victory and also secure an unbeaten domestic campaign and the treble.
Armstrong, 25, has proven to be one of the driving forces behind Brendan Rodgers’ debut season in Scottish football and ensured that he ended the term season with 17 goals in all competitions thanks to his first-half strike.
The midfielder has consistently performed well and Celtic supporters were once again over the moon with his display on Saturday.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Brilliant from Armstrong. He's been one of our few plus points so far today. #Celtic

Broony has had one of his worst ever halves of football, but only McGregor, Boyata and Armstrong have looked ok. Much more to come in 2nd.

Armstrong has featured in all but one of Celtic’s games in their run up to the final and in total has played 48 times across all competitions.
The ex-Dundee United playmaker was rewarded for his fine form earlier this season when he was handed his first cap for the Scottish international side in March.
Saturday’s win saw Armstrong lift the Scottish Cup for the first time in his career in what was his 104th appearances in all competitions for the Hoops.
