West Ham have been linked with a £2m deal for Paolo Hurtado.
According to a report in The Sun Slaven Bilic is considering making an offer for the Reading winger who is in the second season on loan at Vitoria Guimaraes.
Despite struggling to make an impact at the Madejski Stadium Hurtado has been on form for Guimaraes, helping them into fourth place in the Portuguese league table.
Bilic has endured a roller coaster season at the London Stadium and badly needs to put his mark on a new look side unconnected with the emotion of leaving the Bolewyn Stadium last year although he could face competition from Bournemouth to sign the 26-year-old.
Although he struggled to adapt to life in England with Reading Bilic is confident that two seasons further down the line Hurtado is now in a position to make a big impact in the top flight with West Ham.
