Manchester United will make an end of season bid for Romelu Lukaku.

According to a report in the Manchester Evening News the Everton striker will be a transfer target regardless of whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic stays or goes.

Jose Mourinho sold Lukaku to Everton in 2014 but since moving to Goodison the striker has become one of the most feared strikers in the Premier League.

The Belgian has scored 31 times this season for club and country although questions persist over whether he can score regularly against the biggest names in the game.

At 23 years of age and having watched his development closely Mourinho believes that the Everton man can flourish at United and find the goals that have been missing this season.

Ibrahimovic seems to be the only regular scorer with the future of the Swede linked to whether United can qualify for the Champions League or not.

Even for a £60m price tag getting Lukaku signed up would represent good value for United with new strikers a priority this summer.
