Manchester United favourites to sign Rodriguez

|

James Rodriguez has indicated that he wants to join Manchester United.

According to a report in the Daily Star the Real Madrid striker has spoken to a Spanish newspaper explaining why United would be his preference for a summer move.

With Real back in the transfer market this summer Rodriguez will be on the move with several English sides keen to do business.

Chelsea and Manchester City have been strongly linked with the Columbian but it seems that the lure of Manchester United and teaming up again with Jose Mourinho has swung his decision.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic out injured United are desperate to bring in more striking options for next season.

Rodriguez has failed to recapture his World Cup 2014 since moving to Real Madrid and is likely to cost around £45m.

So far this season the 25-year-old has started nine La Liga matches this season and made eight substitute appearances.
