Liverpool face continental competition for the signing of Henry Onyekuru.

According to a report on talkSPORT, Borussia Monchengladbach and Club Brugge have joined the race to sign the AS Eupen striker.

Onyekuru has scored 15 goals so far this season helping Eupen to a comfortable position in the league after winning promotion to the top flight last season.

The 19-year-old striker was strongly linked with Celtic in January but interest from Liverpool and West Ham effectively forced Brendan Rodgers’ side out of the picture.

The young Nigerian seems certain to leave Eupen at the end of this season and now has options in Germany as well as the UK and Belgium.

Jurgen Klopp was alerted to the striker earlier this season and wants to bring in fresh emerging talent to Anfield.

It’s unclear if Klopp sees Onyekuru as a potential first team player but he’ll certainly go straight into the top team if he decides on a move to Anderlecht or Monchengladbach.
