PARIS ST GERMAIN are set to become the first club to put in a bid for Alexis Sanchez.
According to a report in The Sun the French champions have opened talks with representatives of the Arsenal striker to discuss a similar deal.
Sanchez is out of contract next summer and has resisted all attempts by Arsenal to get him onto a new contract.
As well as a substantial wage rise the striker wants to be with a club challenging for honours with Arsenal well out of contention for the title and knocked out of Europe in a 10-2 hammering from Bayern Munich.
Arsenal are determined not to sell their star striker to an English rival which could open the door to a switch across the channel.
PSG are still hurting from their shock Champions League exit to Barcelona and feel that bringing in Sanchez can give them the extra firepower to make an impact in Europe.
