French option for Giroud

|

Marseille are preparing a big money move for Olivier Giroud.

According to a report on talkSPORT the French side are keen to tempt the Arsenal forward who has had to spend most of this season on the substitute bench.

Giroud signed a new contract in January but is likely to be tempted by the chance to return to France with Marseille demonstrating their ambition in January with the signing of Dimitri Payet.

Arsenal signed the striker from Montpellier in 2012 but despite the likely departure of Alexis Sanchez, Giroud has found his opportunities limited even though he has had a good scoring record coming off the bench.

At 30 years of age the French internationalist should be at his peak but will have to decide if he thinks it’s best to stay on at Arsenal or make a fresh start elsewhere.

Like many decisions at Arsenal a lot will hinge on whether or not Arsene Wenger stays or not.
