Arsenal are preparing a move for Jakub Jankto.
According to a report in The Sun the Udinese midfielder was watched by Arsenal scouts in the weekend draw with Torino.
Jankto is in his first season in Serie A and has made a big impact playing in centre midfield.
Even though the future of Arsene Wenger is unclear some big decisions will be made about the Arsenal midfield during the summer with Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain all out of contract in June 2018.
Udinese are currently negotiating a new deal with Jankto but would struggle to match the terms on offer from Arsenal for the 21-year-old Czech midfielder.
Jankto has scored five times in 17 appearances this season but Udinese have little hope of securing European football as they sit in 12th place in Serie A and are known as one of the big selling clubs in Italy.
