West Brom are keen to bring Steve Mounie to the Hawthorns.
According to a report on talkSPORT the Montpellier striker is also a transfer target for Middlesbough and Leicester City.
Mounie has scored 13 times in Lique 1 this season and is rated in the £15m price range.
Tony Pulis has made signing strikers a priority in the summer with Salomon Rondon West Brom’s top Premier League scorer with seven goals, veteran defender Gareth McAuley is next on six goals.
At 22-year-old signing Mounie would have an element of risk involved but offers West Brom good value compared to the domestic transfer market.
Last season he scored 11 goals on loan at Nimes with his current contract running until June 2019.
Pulis will have substantial funds to spend in the summer but knows that he has to shop a little off the beaten track rather than chase the obvious big names.
