West Brom are preparing an end of season move for Milan Skriniar.

According to the Daily Mail the Sampdoria defender was watched in action against Juventus on Sunday by Tony Pulis.

Skriniar is in his second season in Serie A and has played in 27 matches this season for the Genoa side.

Pulis has been impressed by the reports he’s received about the left sided centre back who can also play as a defensive midfielder.

The West Brom boss failed to add to his defensive options in January but with the club comfortably in the top half of the league there was no rush to bring in new faces.

Gareth McAuley is expected to complete a new 12 month contract in the coming weeks but at 37 years of age Pullis is keen to bring in a younger defender.

Skriniar is under contract until 2020 but with another season of television money assured West Brom can spend big and be confident that Skriniar’s value will quickly increase.
