Arsenal and Spurs join race for Lejuene

Arsenal and Spurs are chasing Florian Lejuene.

According to a report in The Mirror the north London giants are both tracking the Eibar defender.

Lejuene only joined the La Liga side last summer in a £1.5m deal from Manchester City where he spent two years on the books without getting close to making a first team appearance.

The 25-year-old spent both of those seasons on loan to Girona in the Spanish Second Division with City happy to cut their losses with the Eibar transfer.

Lejuene has taken to La Liga with ease which has drawn the attention of the bigger city clubs with Arsenal and Spurs picking up the trail.

Eibar have an £8.7m get out clause in his contract and will be happy to turn around a profit of close to £7m when the defender is sold.

Lejeune has started 24 of Eibar’s 27 La Liga matches this season with the club riding high in seventh place in the table.
