Manchester United are lining up an end of season move for Marcelo Brozovic.
According to a report in Gazetta the 24-year-old midfielder was the target for Jose Mourinho when he watched Croatia beat Uraine on Friday and not Ivan Perisic as was first thought.
Brozovic has a 50m euro (£42m) release clause in his contract which United are prepared to match which will allow Inter to meet UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules for next season.
Mourinho has had his eye on Brozovic for some time and as he showed with Paul Pogba believes that the Italian market is one of quality for bringing players into Old Trafford.
Brozovic is only in his third season at Inter but settled quickly following his transfer from Dinamo Zagreb after playing less than 20 league matches for the Croatian side.
Mourinho is expected to be one of the biggest spenders in the summer as United make a big push for the Premier League and also hopefully the Champions League.
