Liverpool have joined the rush of clubs looking to sign Michael Keane.

According to the Daily Mail Jurgen Klopp has been impressed by the Burnley defender who has been watched carefully by Everton.

Keane has been outstanding for Burnley this term, starting in all 29 Premier League fixtures and earning a call up into the full England squad.

With his contract running until June 2018 Burnley will cash in this summer with half a dozen clubs interested in the defender who started out as an apprentice at Manchester United.

Despite there just being a year to run on his contract Burnley are confident that they can bring in £30m for a defender that was sold by Louis van Gaal for an undisclosed fee in 2015.

Liverpool’s season has been riddled with defensive problems with Klopp determined to address them in the summer.

Getting the blend right in that position is critical with Liverpool confident that Keane could play alongside a number of different team-mates and systems.
