Jugen Klopp will leave a decision on Daniel Sturridge’s future until the end of the season.

According to a report in The Guardian the Liverpool boss has put all contract matters onto the back burner as he attempts to solve his side’s dramatic loss of form.

Sturridge has had to contend himself with a place on the sidelines this season and has only started five Premier League matches.

The 27-year-old has cut a sullen figure this season as he finds himself on the outside looking in.

Klopp has stuck with a preferred front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho with the England man looking unlikely to break that combination.

If Sturridge is put up for sale there will be no shortage of offers but it’s unlikely that the former Chelsea and Manchester City man will find a club competing for Champions League places.

With the World Cup Finals coming up at the end of next season the striker is likely to push through with a move despite having two years left to run on his contract.
