Everton’s Lukaku deal is ‘legally agreed’

|

Romelu Lukaku will finally sign a new contract at Everton this week.

According to a report in The Sun the deal has been ‘legally agreed’ between all parties for the Belgian striker to extend his stay at Goodison.

In recent months Lukaku has been strongly linked to a move back to Chelsea with Bayern Munich and Chelsea also believed to be keen on the striker.

With 18 goals from 25 Premier League appearances Lukaku has had a massive influence on Everton’s season with Ronald Koeman keen to secure the services of his top scorer.

Everton and Lukaku have been in discussions since before Christmas with regular updates that a deal was close to being completed without getting the deal over the line.

Since moving to the club on loan in 2013 Lukaku has scored 61 Premier League goals with Everton making the deal permanent in 2014 in exchange for a £28m cheque.
