Gerard Deulofeu will resist offers from elsewhere to return to Everton at the end of the season.

According to talkSPORT, AC Milan are interested in making his loan deal permanent with Barcelona also quoted with an interest.

The 22-year-old struggled to get a game at Goodison earlier in the season but has thrived since he moved to Serie A in January after some long drawn out negotiations.

Ronald Koeman moved out a number of players during the January transfer window but while Tom Cleverley is looking to stay on at Watford Deulofeu expects to go back to Everton.

Barcelona picked up £4.3m from Everton in 2015 for the midfielder after he had spent a season on loan under Roberto Martinez but have kept tabs on his progress.

With experience of the English game and a stint in Serie A the 22-year-old is back in Barca’s sights as they plan ahead for a new look midfield.
